The Suffolk Health and Wellbeing Board is responsible for improving and protecting the health and wellbeing of all people in Suffolk and have set a “Good Work and Health” priority with seven key objectives, promoting healthy workplaces, and enabling more people in Suffolk to have access to good quality jobs and fair work'
To achieve this priority, a diverse group of members from economic, employment & skills, and workforce related partners were brought together to form ‘The Best Health and Work Partnership’. This Partnership have been operating for 2 years, working collaboratively to minimise the impact of health-related threats to the economy and trade in Suffolk. Partnership priorities include public mental health, ‘good work’ principles to work and health, listening and engaging with local voices, wellbeing of children and young people, developing skills and supporting people back into work.
The Partnership agreed to steer this work with a Commitment Plan which will shape the actions across four areas of work which include:
- Driving the delivery of the Health and Wellbeing Objectives
- Communication and Engagement
- Collaboration and Opportunities
- Progress Reporting.
